What Accounting Software To Use?

Post by ccbug_admin » Wed Aug 23, 2017 8:47 pm

While CCB takes care of some financial aspects one still needs a full-fledged accounting program to handle church finances. What programs are available and what is best? This BP attempts to outline some of the options.

QuickBooks
This is a commonly utilized accounting software application. imho, this application is not a robust solution to church accounting, in large part because Intuit seems to have adapted their existing software (which isn't based on fund accounting) for non-profit use, resulting in some pretty quirky issues. That said, I may be in the minority.

Aplos
Aplos is a CCB partner which integrates with the CCB platform, making Aplos an attractive option. There is some positive feedback regarding Aplos, but it seems most folks haven't had a chance to use it yet.

One piece of reappearing feedback is that while Aplos' young age may be a strike against it, the responsiveness of the folks at Aplos is a big plus.
